On August 15-17, 2018, His Grace Bishop Abgar Hovakimyan, Primate, accompanied by the Diocesan clergymen, visited the Diocesan Annual Camp Ararat at Ameliasburg, Ontario. 178 campers and mentors from all over Canada spent an unforgettable week of religious education, the Armenian national traditions, history, songs, dance, games, and beyond, under the leadership of a devoted team of volunteers.
On August 16, the clergy meeting was held at the Camp, followed by a soccer match between the clergy and the campers.
On August 17, the Diocesan Council meeting was held at the Campsite. Rev. Archpriest Keghart Garabedian, Parish Priest of St. Vartan Armenian Church of British Columbia, was appointed by the Primate to the Diocesan Council to fill the vacancy of outgoing clergy-member Rev. Fr. Vazgen Boyajyan.
